Lebowa

Lebowa was a Bantustan set up in 1972 for the Northern Sotho people.
It didn't get independence and was abolished in 1994.
For most of its existence Lebowa was ruled by Dr.Cedric Phatudi, but the last leader was Nelson Ramodike (1987-94)
who continued to play a political role in the new South Africa, in opposition to the ruling African National Congress.
Right now, Lebowa is a part of the Limpopo province.
