Western Canada includes the four provinces of Canada: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Area: 2.908.433 sq km
Pop : 10.510.000 (31% Of total)

The region is much more conservative than the Atlantic Canada and is increasingly alienated both politically and economically.
A 2005 poll of residents of the four provinces finds 35.6% of them think "Western Canadians should begin
to explore the idea of forming their own country".

The movements advocating independence of Western Canada also envision the inclusion of Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut within the new country.
